Where your main shut-off valve is hiding
In most Etobicoke homes it is on the front wall of the basement, near the water meter. Find it today, label it, and turn it a quarter turn twice a year so it does not seize.

Plumbers on call right now across Etobicoke
MapleFlow is a licensed Etobicoke plumbing crew that answers the phone at 3 a.m., quotes the job before touching a wrench, and cleans up before leaving.
What we fix
From a dripping tap in Alderwood to a full repipe in a Kingsway century home, the same MapleFlow plumbers do the work start to finish.
Burst pipes, sewage backups and no-water calls answered any hour, with the water under control before the drywall goes.
Camera first, then the right tool — auger, jetter or root cutter — so the clog does not return in a month.
Tank swaps done same-day, plus tankless conversions sized to how your household actually uses hot water.
Supply the fixture yourself or pick from our stocked lines — either way it goes in level, sealed and drip-free.
Running, rocking, leaking at the base or just old and thirsty — repaired the same visit or swapped for a low-flow model.
Sinks, garburators, dishwasher lines and fridge water hookups — including the awkward ones behind old cabinetry.
Rough-ins, drain relocations and finish plumbing, scheduled around your tiler and inspected before the walls close.
Galvanized and lead lines swapped for copper or PEX, with clean drywall cuts and patched openings.
Basement flood protection installed to City of Toronto spec — and we file the subsidy paperwork for you.
TSSA-registered gas fitting for ranges, dryers, patio grills and garage heaters, pressure tested and certified.
Acoustic and thermal imaging finds the leak behind the wall, so we open one square foot instead of the whole ceiling.
Restaurants, salons and low-rise buildings on the Vulcan Street corridor, with off-hours scheduling so you stay open.
Shut the main valve, move what you can, then call us. A MapleFlow plumber is dispatched from Vulcan Street and typically reaches Etobicoke addresses within 60 to 90 minutes — with no midnight surcharge on the invoice.
The difference
So we built the company around removing them. You know the price, the plumber and the arrival window before anyone opens a toolbox.
The quote covers parts, labour and disposal. If the job turns out harder than expected, that is our problem, not your invoice.
We text a photo and the licence number of the plumber heading over, so you know exactly who is knocking.
Floor protection down on arrival, drop sheets under every fitting, old parts hauled away in the van.
Two years on repairs, five on installations. Call the same number and we come back at no charge.
Who we are
MapleFlow started in 2011 with one van, one licensed plumber and a rented bay on Vulcan Street. Fifteen years later the bay is ours, the fleet is nine vans, and roughly two-thirds of our calls still come from someone who was told about us over a fence.
We deliberately stayed a residential-first shop. That means the person quoting your job has personally crawled through the same 1950s Rexdale bungalows and the same Kingsway century homes, and knows where the surprises hide before opening a wall.

How a call goes
A plumber — not a call centre — asks what you are seeing and tells you which valve to close while we dispatch.
You get a text with your plumber's name, photo and arrival window. On site we scope the problem properly, camera included where it helps.
Options written down, good-better-best where it makes sense, no work started until you say go.
Repair completed, tested in front of you, old parts hauled away, warranty registered before we drive off.
Upfront pricing
These are real Etobicoke starting rates. Your exact number is confirmed on site before any work begins — it never moves after you approve it.

What neighbours say
On time. Clean. No surprises.
Main stack backed up on the Sunday of a long weekend. Two other companies quoted a holiday premium before they even asked what was wrong. MapleFlow gave me the same rate as a weekday and had it cleared in two hours.
Daniel R.Islington-City Centre
They found a slab leak under our kitchen with a thermal camera and opened one small section of floor. Our insurer's adjuster actually commented on how tidy the report was.
Priya S.The Kingsway
Backwater valve and sump pump done in a day, and they filed the city subsidy paperwork for me. I would have given up on that form halfway through.
Marcus A.Rexdale
Our restaurant grease trap failed on a Friday service. They came after close, worked through the night and we opened on time Saturday. That is the whole review.
Amara O.Vulcan Street, Etobicoke
Eighty-two years old and I have dealt with a lot of tradespeople. This is the first one that texted me a photo of who was coming. Small thing, big difference.
Gerald W.Long Branch
Full bathroom rough-in, coordinated with our tiler without me having to play middleman. The quote at the start was the invoice at the end, to the dollar.

Questions
For emergencies inside Etobicoke we aim to have a licensed plumber at your door within 60 to 90 minutes, day or night. Scheduled work is usually booked within 24 to 48 hours, and we call ahead before arriving so you are not waiting around all afternoon.
Estimates for planned work — fixture installs, repipes, bathroom rough-ins — are free. Emergency and diagnostic visits carry an $89 call-out fee, which comes off the bill the moment you approve the repair.
Yes. Every MapleFlow plumber holds a Certificate of Qualification for the 306A plumber trade, we carry $5 million in liability coverage, and all technicians are WSIB covered. Licence details appear on every invoice, and you are welcome to ask to see the card at the door.
Labour is warranted for two years on repairs and five years on full installations. Parts and fixtures carry the manufacturer warranty, which we register on your behalf so you are not hunting for a receipt in three years. If a repair fails inside the warranty window, the return visit costs nothing.
If your home sits on a low-lying lot, or you have finished basement space you would hate to lose, a backwater valve is strong protection against sewer backup during heavy storms. The City of Toronto also runs a basement flooding protection subsidy that can cover a substantial share of the cost — we handle that paperwork as part of the job.
Yes. For work that requires a plumbing permit — drain relocations, backwater valves, new bathroom rough-ins — we pull the permit with the City of Toronto and coordinate the inspection so you are not chasing it yourself.
Most residential drain clearing in Etobicoke lands between $189 and $450 depending on which line it is and how accessible the cleanout is. We quote a flat price before starting, so the number you approve is the number you pay.
For larger jobs such as water heater replacement, repiping and bathroom renovations we offer approved financing with terms from 12 to 60 months. Approval usually takes a few minutes on site, and there is no penalty for paying it out early.

Rusty water, a rumbling tank, hot water that runs out sooner than it used to. Catching these means a planned swap instead of a flooded utility room.
